If you are a member of our libraries and wish to borrow a book from an NHS Wales hospital library, log in to LibrarySearch and request the book using the Inter-Library Loan Request link. requested items are held for a limited period and can be collected from the relevant library.After-hours book drops are located on University Drive (between MD Anderson Library and the South Student Center walkway), the 24 Hour Lounge in MD Anderson Library, and the breezeway of the School of Art building. check your LibrarySearch account regularly to find out when your requests are ready to collect Return books to service desks and/or return slots located inside each library.Older, less-used items held in Library Stores (displayed on LibrarySearch with the location ' Talybont Research Reserve') can also be requested using LibrarySearch. You can request items which are already on loan using LibrarySearch. You can also place requests on items which are on the shelf in any Cardiff University library using LibrarySearch. Recalled items must be returned by the due date to avoid your library account being blocked this will prevent you from both borrowing any further items and your current loans from automatically renewing Requesting You will be able to keep the book until the due date, you should then return it. If a book doesn't renew, you will get a message on screen explaining why. You can renew books yourself in 'My Library Account': if the book isn't renewable, you won't have the option to renew that particular book. You can also check 'My Library Account' on LibrarySearch any requested books will have a loan status of 'Recalled'. You'll receive an email if your book has been requested so you know it won't renew. Most of your loans will be renewed automatically, provided they have not been requested by anyone else. You will be given a date when the books are due for return, however most of your books will renew automatically at the end of the loan period. If an item is not accessible from your library, you can request it. Note: Any books borrowed from Rice University in person could also be requested using our regular interlibrary loan forms as described above to avoid the extra travel.To borrow books, bring them to the issue desk or self service machine along with your library card. There is no free parking ( read their FAQ). Remember that you will need to pay a parking fee when going to Rice.Fines must be handled through Fondren Library.The books can be returned either to the HCU Moody Library (for return by courier) or directly to Fondren Library at Rice.The agreement between Rice and HCU allows our faculty, staff and students to borrow up to four books at a time.Librarians must contact Fondren Library for permission before going to Fondren Library.Any item checked out to another user or available from the Library. Student/Faculty must be in good standing with Moody Library. The current borrower must return the book 10 days after the recall has been placed.Rice University does not participate in the TexShare card program. You can view this map to see the libraries across the state that participate in the card program. A TexShare card can be obtained at the Reference Desk or the Circulation Desk along with a list of the local libraries that participate in the TexShare program. The number of books that can be borrowed is limited by the policies of the TexShare libraries. Using a TexShare card HCU faculty, staff and currently enrolled students can borrow books in person from participating libraries. The TexShare card program is an agreement among several libraries which allows users of TexShare libraries to directly borrow from other TexShare libraries. Questions should be directed to the Interlibrary Loan Librarian at 28 or Article Interlibrary Loan Request Form Please complete your use of the borrowed materials quickly and return them to the Interlibrary Loan department at HBU. The patron will be notified by email when the item arrives. The Moody Library only borrows books and articles no CDs, cassette tapes, DVDs, or videocassettes will be requested. Every effort is made to obtain the materials quickly and at the least possible expense, but we cannot guarantee a speedy arrival so start your assignments as early as possible. Items will be shipped to the Moody library. The Interlibrary Loan Librarian will try to obtain the material from the nearest free or inexpensive source after searching a nationwide network. Be sure to check the library catalog for your item first before making your request! Also, the library CAN request articles that have an embargo placed by the publisher.
